Steps For Working With Your Advocate
Each situation is a little different, and so, working with an advocate is never quite the same. Our advocates are flexible and adapt to every situation. However, most bill reviews and out of network negotiations will have certain things in common.
SECURELY SUBMIT YOUR INFORMATION
To start a review or negotiation, register and log in through Athos' secure online portal. Use our "Ask an Advocate" feature to make your request.
TALK TO AN ATHOS ADVOCATE
After submitting your information, you'll be able to schedule a convenient time to have an Athos advocate call you to discuss the details of your request.
GATHER ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Your advocate may ask you to gather and submit additional information (e.g., an itemized bill). In some cases, you may also be asked to sign a release form so Athos can work directly with your insurance company or provider's billing department.
ATHOS RESOLVES ANY MEDICAL BILL ISSUES
